Dutch Researchers has a desire to analyze the effectiveness and safety of laser acne treatments. They decided to research PubMed for publications about acne treatments between 1992 and 2011.

What did they find from the studies?

The researchers in Netherlands found 2215 relevant articles about PDL treatment for skin diseases such as acne vulgaris and psoriasis. The determined a level of evidence and analyzed the effects of patients taking laser acne treatments around the world. They evaluated the acne treatment efficiency and gave grades for effectiveness between A to D. Laser treatment for acne was shown to be very efficient and safe at the same time, especially when conventional methods such as acne facial wash and other common skin creams and solutions didn’t work.
